Jika kita cermat maka kita bisa menghindari pencurian uang melalui ATM berikut beberapa tipsnya
1. Perhatikan dengan seksama mesin ATM didepan anda apakah ada alat asing yang menepel di ATM terutama pada card slot, erhatikan juga mulut card slot apakah ada perbedaan warna yang mencolok dengan badan ATM, jika ya maka dapat anda pastikan ada alat yang baru dipasang cek kepada pihak bank jika anda ragu.
2. Perhatikan dengan seksama sekeliling, apakah ada kemungkinan ada kamera tersembunyi yang ilegal terutama yang mengarah kepada keypad ATM
3. Jangan berbagi nomor PIN dengan orang lain.
4. Jangan menggunakan nomor PIN yang mudah ditebak oleh orang lain (contoh: tanggal lahir) dan menggunakan nomor yang berurutan (contoh: 12345).
5. Jika anda bertransaksi dengen internet banking, jangan sign in melalui fasilitas wi fi apalagi yang gratisan usahakan menggunakan saluran pribadi yang hanya anda penggunanya.
